How to get there: along the main road to Enfola, about 2.3 km from the crossroads with Viale Einaudi, there is a small road called Via Acquaviva going down on the right, this continues as a path to the beach. It is best to leave your car in the space along the main road, just before the restaurant, seeing that it is not possible to park below.
Sandro Foresi, a well known Elban writer of the 1930s, described this area as "enchanting beaches, lapped by water, with the whispering music of bewitching melodies". Because of the striking colours in the crystal clear water it is one of the most photographed coasts and it is often seen on postcards. The Sorgente beach is no exception, it is also called "Acquavivetta". Once this small pure white pebble beach was only a mooring and refuge for small local fishing boats.
